San Bernardino Flood Damage Cleanup, When A Cell Phone Gets Wet
Cell phones are an awesome development. They allow us to continue to be joined to the world around us at any moment, mostly wherever we go. We carry our mobile phones anywhere we go, even to the ocean, pool club, or into the powder room. There is a strong possibility that a mobile telephone will suffer water damage. How many times have you heard about folks who have unexpectedly dropped their cell phone into the sink or toilet? The regular warranty that comes with your cell phone will cover many things that could occur with it but probably won't cover water damage. Don't take the trouble to try to deceive the cell company by telling a story that the cellular phone has undergone some other form of damage because they will know how to see right away that the mobile phone has water damage.
If you drop your cellular telephone into water do not get nervous. It is upsetting to imagine that you may lose all the information you have stored , but inhale deeply and realize that all may not be gone. You might be able to mend the water damaged mobile telephone yourself. It is key to get the telephone out of the water as quickly as possible. If you can't get the phone in a few seconds, it is good to take the battery from the telephone under the water. This takes away any heat from a short in the cellular phone, not allowing more harm. The worst harm is caused when a wet cell phone is linked to a power source so remove the battery power promptly. Take out the SIM card from the water damaged telephone if it has one, dry it, and put it aside.
Now you are all ready to dry the cellular phone. Remove any covers possible so that air can get to the inner part of the cell and carefully agitate it to remove as much water as you can. Use a vacuum with a tubing connected to remove the water out of the telephone. Take the vac hose from the telephone to put a stop to the buildup of static electricity which will heighten the hurt the components in the phone. Keep your telephone overnight in a container of raw rice. This will take up any residual moisture from the phone.
After the twelve hours place the mobile phone on a paper towel for a few hours. Examine it again to see if there are any signs of wetness. If there is any wetness repeat the entire process once more. After the cell is fully dry and looks clean inside reattach the battery pack and power it on. If the phone is still not functioning bring the battery out again and plug the cellular phone into the charger. If the telephone functions now you know that the battery pack is destroyed and will have to be purchased again. If the telephone yet doesn't function you can take it to be serviced. If it is not salvageable then you have no option but to do without a cell phone or get a new one.
